Christina Haywood L.Ac.
Christina is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist with training in Shiatsu and Tuina body work. She is a well rounded practitioner with experience working with a wide range of patients. With a background in psychology and an upbringing as a competitive athlete she is passionate about treating all aspects of the human experience. Her special interests are in mental/emotional health, women’s health, sports medicine, pain management, stroke and paralysis rehabilitation.
She grew up on the island of Maui, but spent every spring as a child visiting family in Bend and skiing Mt. Bachelor. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest at a young age, so it felt natural to make the move to Bend after graduating from college. She attended Arizona State University where she received her BA in Psychology, but used her elective hours to focus on Chinese philosophy and Daoism. It was during this time that she realized she did not want to treat the body and mind as two separate entities, and found the marriage of the two within the teachings of Chinese medicine.
Christina recently moved back to Bend to be near family and friends after taking time to work and travel through Asia. She used her skills as an acupuncturist to work with populations that do not have access to healthcare in rural Nepal. She was then able to take her love of the outdoors to a new extreme by trekking through two different regions of the Himalayas and traveling through India and Thailand. Christina enjoys using her spare time recharging in the outdoors, swimming, tennis, and always finding time for a good book.

My name is Chelsea Renee Ladd and I am here to support our office’s altruistic guidance and to assure every client receives the utmost attention and unconditional love they need. After pursuing my Bachelors in Biological Sciences, I craved more knowledge in natural preventative medicine; so I took off traveling for the next 6 years! After coaching snowboarding in Colorado and Jackson Hole, guiding in Southern Patagonia’s feral National Parks and landing here in Bend (which has the best of all the worlds), I realized my heart lies in holding space for those who are searching for a more natural route of preventing, being and healing. Staples in my daily activities and conversations tend to include running, coffee dates with new and old friends, split-boarding, climbing, nutrition, yoga, minimalism, outdoor healing, Spanglish and brewing Kombucha for Compassion Kombucha! I’ll leave you with one idea I find incredibly interesting: You truly have the option to commit to unconditional happiness for the rest of your life – no matter what situation tests you.
The office dog and patient greeter. The daughter of Drs. Christy and Ren. She works hard every day greeting each patient, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When you enter the clinic feel free to give her a gentle pet. Don’t worry, she is hypoallergenic!
